Your Call to Action
Students are inheriting a world with more than a few problems. People living in shacks of cardboard or tin. High foreclosure rates. Deteriorating housing for America’s seniors. Lack of understanding between nations and cultures.
When the situation seems beyond any hope, we have two options: sit back and hope “someone” does something about it, or get out and begin to change the world! One shovel, one nail, at a time.
Student Builders are a network of committed youth partners from various colleges, universities, religious institutions, and schools who believe in our mission. So get out and hammer some nails, make new friends, ride a bike, raise a wall, travel overseas, create fundraisers, and join our movement.
Will YOU be the one to answer the call to get it started at your school or youth group?
Our Mission and Purpose
Student Builders walk the talk and “Build on the Rock!” because we believe showing true faith means turning love into action for others.
Fuller Center Student Builders seek to build
- each other up.
Building up each other, our partner families, and our communities.
Raising money, speaking with local leaders, recruiting volunteers, and garnering gifts-in-kind.
Volunteering on local worksites or traveling to work on a project elsewhere in the United States and abroad.
Getting the word out about the enormous need and all the ways people can help.
Every community in the Desert Communities Fuller Center House territory – the Morongo Basin and the Coachella Valley has a high school and several houses of worship. In addition the following colleges will be invited to participate in our student volunteer programs:
- College of the Desert
- Mayfield College
- California State – San Bernardino/Palm Desert Campus
- University of California – Riverside
- Copper Mountain Community College
- Chapman College
